BioRex Cinemas in a nutshell

Founded in 2002, BioRex Cinemas is Finland’s second largest cinema chain and has theatres in Helsinki, Porvoo, Hyvinkää, Riihimäki, Hämeenlinna, Kajaani, Seinäjoki, Vaasa, Jakobstad, Tornio and Rovaniemi. Its parent company is the Swedish Svenska Bio, which has more than 50 cinemas in Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

The BioRex chain pays special attention to modern screening technology and viewing comfort in its auditoriums with the aim of providing magical experiences with quality movies to the audiences. The chain employs around 100 people, 90% of whom work for the company’s cinemas. The company’s CEO is Aku Jaakkola.

The BioRex headquarters are located at event centre Verkatehdas in Hämeenlinna.
