1. General

Dear customer, please read through the purchase and delivery terms before confirming your purchase. These terms apply to all purchase transactions between BioRex Cinemas and consumer customers.

3. Registration

Customers can buy tickets to screenings without first creating user ID to BioRex’s online shop. However, having user ID allows a customer to reserve tickets and purchase serial and gift tickets in BioRex’s online shop. Creating user ID is free and poses no obligations to the customers.

4. Reserving tickets

Tickets can only be booked in BioRex’s online shop with user ID created for the service. This means that our ticket desks do not accept ticket reservations. Reservations remain valid for a maximum of four (4) days from the booking and expire 24 hours before the screening. If a film screening is less than four (4) days away, reservations will expire no later than 24 hours before the screening. Reserved tickets must be paid for at a cinema’s ticket desk or the online shop at least 24 hours before the show. Tickets cannot be booked for screenings that are less than 24 hours away.

4.1. Cancelling a reservation

A valid reservation can be cancelled through the cancellation link sent via email. In addition, all reservations are automatically cancelled no later than 24 hours before the screening.

5. Purchasing tickets

Tickets can be bought in BioRex’s online shop and at the theatres’ ticket desks during opening hours. By purchasing a ticket, a customer agrees to BioRex’s purchase and delivery terms.

5.1. Purchasing tickets for age-restricted films

When buying tickets for an age-restricted film, the customer must ensure that they are old enough to see the film either alone or with their guardian or other older person, in accordance with the Act on Audiovisual Programmes. When purchasing a ticket for an age-restricted film, the customer must be aware that they may be asked to prove their age with picture ID during ticket inspection. If a customer is not old enough to see a film, they must return their ticket to the cinema’s ticket desk no later than 30 minutes before the screening begins. Tickets that have not been returned will not be refunded later.

5.2. Returning bought tickets

If a customer has already paid for their tickets, but wants to return or exchange them due to illness or a schedule change, the tickets must be returned to the ticket desk of the BioRex cinema where they were purchased from a minimum of 30 minutes before the screening begins. Tickets that have not been returned will not be refunded later.

If a customer has already paid for their tickets with gift-, serial- or corporate vouchers (“payment instrument”), that expire before the screening for which the tickets have been purchased for, the customer must note that changes to the ticket must be made before the expiry of the payment instrument, i.e. no later than the last day of validity of the payment instrument. Once the original payment instrument has expired, no new ticket or money will be refunded for the cancellation of the ticket.

5.3. Exchanging bought tickets

If a customer wants to change their tickets to another day or time, the original tickets must be returned to the ticket desk of the BioRex cinema where they were purchased from a minimum of 30 minutes before the screening begins. Tickets that have not been returned will not be refunded later.

If a customer has already paid for their tickets with gift-, serial- or corporate vouchers (“payment instrument”), that expire before the screening for which the tickets have been purchased for, the customer must note that changes to the ticket must be made before the expiry of the payment instrument, i.e. no later than the last day of validity of the payment instrument. Once the original payment instrument has expired, no new ticket or money will be refunded for the cancellation of the ticket.

6. Purchasing serial and gift tickets

Customers can buy serial and gift tickets, as well as LeffaCombo gift vouchers, in BioRex’s online shop and at the cinemas’ ticket desks during opening hours. Serial tickets can only be paid for at the ticket desks when using culture payment methods. Serial and gift tickets may not be returned and cannot be exchanged for money.

7. Payment methods

Customers can pay for movie tickets by using the most common debit and credit cards or with their online banking details (in the online shop): Nordea, Danske Bank, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Oma Säästöpankki, POP Pankki, Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, Ålandsbanken, Siirto payment and MobilePay (online shop). Culture vouchers can also be used to purchase film tickets and serial tickets (ticket desk) for personal use.

8. Recording a film in an auditorium

Recording a film in a cinema auditorium for personal or commercial use is forbidden. Noncompliance with this rule may lead to the person’s removal from the auditorium. Recording a film at a cinema is a copyright infringement.

9. Disruptive behaviour in an auditorium

Customers may not behave disruptively or threateningly towards others in the auditoriums. Disruptive or threatening behaviour includes constant phone use, throwing popcorn, kicking the seats, shouting and other similar behaviour during a film. The cinema staff have a right to remove a disruptive customer from the premises without refunding their ticket.

10. Errors during purchase transactions

Errors are usually caused by service disruptions in our transaction partners’ systems or problems with network connections. If an error occurs in our online shop, customers may contact BioRex’s customer services via email at asiakaspalvelu@biorex.fi. Any errors made at a ticket desk are normally handled at the cinema in question or through the customer services, where necessary.

These purchase and delivery terms are valid until further notice.
