Before a screening
Are you planning to see a film and would like more information about the accessibility of our cinemas or are you assisting a person with reduced mobility? Below, you can find information about the places reserved for persons with reduced mobility at our cinemas and each theatre’s details. In addition, you can always make a direct inquiry by contacting your local BioRex cinema.
Will an assistant accompany you to the cinema?
If a customer arrives at a cinema with an assistant, both can see a film for the price of one (1) ticket. If the need for assistance cannot be visually confirmed, our staff at the ticket desk may ask to see a card/other document that proves the right to an assistant’s ticket. Our staff can help customers into and out of the auditoriums if necessary or when requested.
If you require an assistant’s ticket but are unable to pick it up at the ticket desk, you can purchase a ticket in our online shop and exchange it for an assistant’s ticket at the ticket desk when you arrive at the cinema.
Disability card holders
Our cinemas are amongst the official EU Disability Card service providers. A disability card holder’s assistant or support person can always use our service for free if category A is stated on the card.
Accessibility for persons with hearing or visual impairment
Some screenings of Finnish films have Finnish-language subtitles available. These screenings are easy to identify by the language symbol underneath the film. On the first Wednesday of every month, Finnish films are screened with descriptive subtitles, if available.
The MovieReading app provides audio descriptions to a selection of films. The films supported by the app are listed on the app. However, please be considerate towards other viewers by dimming your phone screen down as much as possible. An audio description will not be suspended if you set your phone to flight mode, but phone calls will not come through. In flight mode, you will need a headset, because flight mode disables Bluetooth.

The entrance, ticket desk and screen 2 are on the 1st floor.
Screens 1, 3, 4 and REX are on the 2nd floor (the cinema has a wheelchair lift for access). The entrance also serves as the exit. Phone inquiries: 075 756 1320
BioRex Riihimäki
The ticket desk and screens 1 & 2 are on the 1st floor, which can be accessed by going down the stairs next to the main entrance. The stairs are not equipped with a stair lift. Phone inquiries: 075 756 1322

The entrance and ticket desk are on the 1st floor, while the screens are located on the 2nd floor. Persons with reduced mobility can use the lift in the adjacent restaurant to access the 2nd floor. The entrance and ticket desk are on the 1st floor, while the screens are located on the 2nd floor. They can be accessed via the stairs next to the ticket desk or with the escalator/lift in Sampokeskus. The entrance also serves as the exit.
